I been looking to have the opportunity to share information about body languages around the world and learn more about this topic. By learning about body language it help me gain a better understanding for other cultures and their costumes. It can relate to any language, is something we all do, more than 50 percent of our communication is done by our bodies. Here is the Article;

It was really interesting to know how one body language from one culture could mean something completely different in another. I agree with the article, like for example in the Hispanic or Latin America culture we are very affectionate giving hugs and kisses as a way to greet people that are very close, but in the other hand with the culture from United States is very different it could mean you have a very close attraction to the person or they might think the guy is crossing the line. The topic is very interesting, is so much that I could learn about it, and learning will help to be more aware of other culture costumes. Yes, these affect the world as we learn more of the topic we can be more aware of other cultures.
I've actually spent a while studying the body languages of people who are close to me. It's amazing how much you can learn from unspoken gestures. For example, I spent some time studying the men I would go out on dates with. Usually if they were interested or excited to get to know me, their gestures were very open. If they were standoffish, they would generally cross themselves in some way. It was really interesting and a good learning experience for me!
ReplyDeleteI have heard of some things relating to this and it is an interesting topic, one that every one should be aware of if they are planning on travelling to a foreign country. A gesture that is polite in your own culture can be totally offensive in another.
